Three things I talk about

Leadership and momentum

Heroics don't scale. Systems do.

Political science degree, self-taught coder, Apple engineer, CIO, CTO. None of it came with permission or a map. This talk is about starting before you feel ready, failing small and early, and building the rhythms that keep a team from needing a hero every Friday. Victories build visibility. Failures build leaders.

  • Build the Future. Don't Observe It.
  • Putting yourself out there: relationships as the real workGiven at THEE Network, September 2026.

Judging AI when anyone can build it

The demo is dead.

It opens with a pitch for a polished AI product at $2,500 a month that I built in fourteen minutes from one prompt, without reading a line of the code. Polish stopped being evidence. The rest is practical: the four ways these tools fail, who pays when they do, and an audit any leader can run on a vendor, or on their own team, in thirty days.

  • The Demo Is DeadGiven at Automotive AI Summit, September 2026.
  • The Auditable Dealership: compliance as data architectureGiven at Rosenfield & Co. webinar series, September 2026.

Data before AI

AI scales whatever foundation you give it.

The talk I give most often, built from what I did as a dealer-group CIO: a data lake that became the runway for AI, an assistant that store leaders asked thousands of questions in plain English, and AI that answered every missed call. The workshop version is about first-party data. You already have it. You just don't own it yet.

  • From Clicks to CustomersGiven at International dealer and business conference, September 2026; Digital Marketing Strategies Conference, April 2026.
  • From Data Lakes to AI HighwaysGiven at CXAuto 2025, June 2025.

Bio

Yuriy Demidko is Chief Technology & Product Officer at Clarivoy, where he leads product and engineering for an independent marketing attribution platform used by car dealers, agencies and OEMs. Before Clarivoy he was Chief Information Officer of DP Fox Ventures and the Fox Motors dealer group, where he built an AI assistant, a business intelligence platform used by thousands, and AI that cut missed calls by 90%. Earlier he spent five and a half years as a software engineer at Apple, shipping 44 applications, and worked at DataStax and Reynolds and Reynolds. He studied political science and taught himself to code. Yuriy speaks on leadership, building instead of waiting, and making AI pay off, at events including the NADA Show, the Automotive AI Summit at the MIT Museum and the Modern Retailing Conference, and has appeared on more than a dozen podcasts.

Introduction for your emcee

Our next speaker has a degree in political science, taught himself to code, and went on to ship 44 applications at Apple. Then he came back to run technology for a major dealer group, where he built the AI instead of buying it. Today he's Chief Technology and Product Officer at Clarivoy. He's here to talk about [talk title]. Please welcome Yuriy Demidko.

On the day

A lapel or headset microphone, a screen with HDMI, a clicker, and a confidence monitor if you have one. Slides are 16:9 and arrive ahead of time. Happy to stay for a Q&A, a panel or time with attendees afterward.

Say hello.

If you want me on a stage, if you're stuck on something I've built before, or if you just want to talk shop, write to me. I read everything myself.
